Summer Reading no. 14: Ms. Marvel vol. 1 by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona. I was inspired to pick it up by the delightful Disney+ series and it did not disappoint. (It’s probably my favorite of the Marvel TV shows so far.)
Summer reading no. 3: Katie the Catsitter by Colleen AF Venable and Stephanie Yue. This book was not what I was expecting in the best way. I don’t want to spoil things, but there are 217 cats, some of whom are fond of stealing sofas. Digital illustration created in Procreate.
Matt Faction, David Aja and Annie Wu’s run on Hawkeye isn’t just my favorite comic, it’s one of my favorite books. What makes Clint Barton such an endearing, entertaining hero is the fact that he’s very extremely human. He gets hurt. He makes lots and lots of mistakes. He tries very hard to do good, even though he’d never admit it out loud. He just wants a cup of coffee. He loves his one eyed Pizza dog.
