SSYRA title 2: Odder by Katherine Applegate. I have a feeling Ivan will always be my favorite Katherine Applegate book, but this was an interesting account of a twice rescued otter told in free verse poems.
“How sweet to be a Cloud” by A.A. Milne
(Hopefully this still counts as a poem!)
[little tree] by e.e. cummings
“Tell all the truth but tell it slant - “ by Emily Dickinson
“The Stolen Child” by W.B. Yeats
Wynken, Blynken, and Nod by Eugene Field
“Vastness” by Tennyson. I read this poem for a class in college, and the last line has always stuck with me: “Peace, let it be! for I loved him and love him forever. The dead are not dead but alive.” (Seems apt for Easter.)
