I entered the House of Illustration and the Folio Society's contest to illustrate Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. I didn't make the cut, but I'm proud that I taught myself to use layers in Photoshop. (I mostly use traditional media.)
This is homework for an SCBWI workshop - draw a new cover for Gulliver's Travels. I'm working on a few different options, including a few sketches of Laputa, the flying island, but so far, I think I like the simplicity of this one the best.
I know I've been bad about posting to my blog recently. I will do my best to start posting at least every other week. Instead of sticking to a specific theme, I will simply post a random drawing. Today's Thanksgiving, so I probably should have drawn something more festive, like a turkey, but I decided to experiment with blue ink and a brush for an underwater submarine scene.
I'm an aspiring author / illustrator.
